KIDDERMINSTER Choral Society will continue its celebration of the town hall's 150th anniversary with a new series of concerts.
A programme for the 2005-2006 season has been announced and includes events that will form the second half of the society's Kidderminster Music Festival, which has been held to commemorate the opening of Kidderminster Town Hall.
Ray Harrowing, publicity officer for the society said: "This season will once again include a first for Kidderminster - a performance of Benjamin Britten's War Requiem."
It will take place on Saturday, November 26 and feature soprano, Jennifer Smith, tenor, Hugh Hetherington, baritone, Quentin Hayes and the Elgar Sinfonia, and Wyre Forest Young Voices.
Geoff Weaver, the society's musical director, said: "This masterful setting of the Requiem Mass, interspersed with poems by Wilfred Owen from the time of the First World War, is a great work, well-suited to this time of remembrance."
A Young Performers' MusicFest will take place on Saturday, October 1 as part of the 50th birthday celebration of the twin town link between Kidderminster and Husum.
On Saturday, December 17, there will be a Gala Christmas concert and on Sunday, February 5, there will be a chance to Discover Your Voice.
A spring concert will be held on Saturday, March 25, featuring Carl Orff's Carmina Burana and Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.
Copies of the programme brochure are available from local libraries and Kidderminster Town Hall. The society welcomes new singers and further information is available from 01562 822771.
