RAIL commuters are set to be given more up-to-date details of how their trains are running when a new £49,000 passenger information system is installed at Kidderminster station.
Central Trains is investing a total of £426,000 in state-of-the-art technology designed to provide passengers with accurate details of whether trains are on schedule at eight stations around Worcestershire.
The new system is linked directly into the national computer using trackside equipment to monitor and record the exact location of thousands of trains across the country, so information is fed directly to the screens.
