RAIN did not deter visitors to Kidderminster Horticultural Society's annual show, with an estimated 750 people dropping in to the two-day event.
Held at Hurrans Garden Centre, in West Hagley on Saturday and Sunday, the show attracted 65 exhibitors competing in more than 150 classes.
The society's vice-chairman, David West, said: "It was a smashing show. People were very complimentary about the ambience. It worked very well.
"It's a traditional show, with flowers and vegetables and a fair bit in the handicrafts section."
Mr West said handicrafts were becoming an increasingly popular aspect of the event, which has been held at Hurrans for around 20 years.
The biggest handicraft classes were for photography, with 17 entries in each of the categories for holiday memories and sunset.
"I think handicrafts are becoming bigger than they have been in the past," Mr West said.
"It was pretty wet on Saturday but that didn't seem to deter people."
