THIS letter is sent in somewhat desperation, and to publicise to others, and even those in authority of our plight.
We, the residents of The Vale, are encouraged to recycle and dispose of our refuse sensibly and in accordance with orders from the council.
This authority has decided to distribute refuse sacks, of all kinds, including the recycle ones in six monthly allocations to make their life easier.
The issue for my area was two weeks ago and none were delivered. I then made the terrible mistake of questioning the refuse services and asking when we were going to get them, only to be told we had already had them?
I obviously disputed this as I had asked by neighbours before hand. I was then told they would be here the next day. After waiting three days, phoned again and was given another pack of lies, and told they would be here soon.
Deciding to go straight to the horses mouth, I contacted the Client Services Dept at the council. Another complete waste of time; lots of leave this with me and I have already passed this on to Fosca but no hint of an apology or a decision as to when these items would appear. I even offered to collect them if told where to go!
Although on the surface quite a trivial matter it is just another example of increasingly poorer services for a great deal of money in council taxes. No doubt we shall be hit again by inflation busting increases for next year, it is essential therefore that we get the services we pay for and on time.
