LITTER-picking was the order of the day as residents of the aptly-named Pickersleigh area of Malvern teamed up with councillors for a clean-up.
Community safety officer and Worcester city councillor Alex Kear and chairman of Malvern Hills District Council Val Myatt lent their support, using special pincers to tidy up the town.
Ledbury's Helping Hand Company donated the 'Streetmaster Litter Pickers' and the team, including dozens of Pickersleigh residents and wardens from the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust, filled four skips, 25 black sacks and 15 recycling sacks.
Their hard work was rewarded with a barbecue at Pickersleigh Community Centre.
