NO-one wants work at Cookhill, commented a parish councillor when it was reported at Monday's meeting of Inkberrow Parish Council that only one application had been received for one of the two vacant plots in Edgioake allotments - and that from an Astwood Bank man.
The clerk, Mr J E Farmer, said advertising notices that the plots were to let had been displayed for nearly two months.
It was decided to let the allotments to the applicant and to ask if he would take both plots.
