TONY Cowley spurted past 2,000 runs for the summer after smashing the Droitwich attack for a season's best 137 last Saturday.
The Badsey all-rounder has now amassed 2018 runs in 38 innings at an average of 67.27 to follow up the 1946 he totalled in 2004.
Badsey rattled up 278-8 in last weekend's friendly to win by 36 runs and Cowley wasn't the only batsmen in fine form as Adam Westmacott followed his maiden century of the previous week with another one.
The teenager scored 138 in Sunday's 46-run friendly triumph over Nailsea after hitting 78 the previous afternoon.
Sam Thomson smacked an unbeaten 58 off just 22 balls in Badsey's 284-4 but it wasn't just the batsmen who were on song as Tom Miles took 3-41 against Droitwich.
