I WAS a helper on the HARK (Homeless Animals Rescue Kennels) charity stall, at the recent Blue Cross Dog Show.
Like the other animal charities that were there, a lot of hard and dedicated work is done by voluntary helpers, to raise much needed money to care for the animals which are being looked after at the kennels.
Obviously, not everyone is as caring, as someone stole a brand new bedspread, from the stall. Perhaps I am expecting too much from the human race. Is it any wonder that other minded people, like myself, prefer animals to people ?
Especially those who obviously have no conscience and can steal from an animal charity.
Other than that incident, the day was enjoyable and successful as the Blue Cross event always is.
