Fairfield Villa 1 Littleton 0
ROCK solid Fairfield Villa kept another clean sheet in Saturday's close run victory over Littleton in the Midland Combination Division One.
After six games second placed Fairfield have only conceded one goal.
Spencer Kenwood bagged the winner against Littleton.
Joint manager Lee Shaw said: "It was a tight game, but we are defending very well at the moment.
"I would like us to score more goals, but the way we are defending it's not a big problem."
In a game of few chances Villa took all three points when Kenwood headed in Martin Townsend's cross in the 25th minute.
Villa held on near the end, when goalkeeper Dave Inman made a fine double save to deny Littleton a late equaliser.
Fairfield will have a full strength squad for Saturday, September 17's game away at Loughborough (2.45pm kick off).
Right wing back Nathan Turner and centre half Darren Price are both available for selection.
Shaw said: "We have good strength of depth and we are on a roll at the moment.
"But we are still striving for maximum points in every game."
