LINDA Carruthers was again in fine form for Gloucestershire Ladies but unable to prevent Yorkshire lifting the ELGA County Finals at Brancepeth Castle.
The Broadway ace won both her matches against Hampshire but suffered a brace of defeats in both foursomes and singles against the Tykes.
There was another setback against Northamp-tonshire in a final match that was abandoned before the singles matches could be started.
Gloucestershire defeated Hampshire 5 - 3 , drew with Yorkshire 4 - 4 and were leading Northamptonshire when the weather intervened.
The final result was based on countback and it was Yorkshire who emerged triumphant.
Fellow Broadway member Chris O'Ha-gan was also in county action helping Gloucestershire's second team record a fine win against Dyfed at Tenby.
The county junior star teamed up with Stuart Baker of Tewkesbury Park to claim an emphatic 8 & 7 foursomes success before adding another point to his team's total with a 2 & 1 singles triumph.
l SEVERAL teams from Broadway will be in action at Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club on Sunday for the North Gloucestershire Foursomes League Cup competition.
The A team get matters under way when they tee off at 9am followed swiftly by the B and C teams.
