HUNDREDS of visitors flocked to Bromsgrove Fire Station's open day on Saturday making it one of the most successful in recent years.
They were treated to a series of demonstrations involving safety and the work of firefighters as well as a host of stalls. Stirring music was provided by the Bimingham Irish Pipe and Drum Band.
A brigade spokesman said later around 600 people attended during the four hours the station in Windsor Street was open.
"It was one of the best we have had," he said.
A total of £500 was raised from the day, which will be donated to the Primrose Hospice at Finstall.
