STUDLEY bagged their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory at Knowle Ladies.
Studley began well and broke the deadlock midway through the first half when, following good work in midfield from Sarah Edney, Martha Osborne slotted home.
Studley looked even more dangerous at the start of the second period stretched their lead through Helen Clancy who collected a long throw, beat two players and curled the ball into the top right hand corner.
Soon afterwards the visitors won a corner and some clumsy defending allowed Rachel Hopkins to lay off to Tessa Whittingham who lobbed the keeper from distance.
Studley play host to Leamington Lions on Sunday at Studley Sports and Social Club (ko 2pm). The Reserves travel to Southam for their first game of the season.
Redditch VC lost 5-2 at a Kidderminster Ladies Reserves outfit, falling behind in the opening minutes when a breakaway goal gave the home side the lead.
The visitors then began to control the game and put some good passing moves together with Nat Lawrence and Tara Cook driving the team forward.
Unfortunately VC could not turn their dominance into goals and were again caught out as Kidderminster opened up a 3-0 lead before a long ball forward from Jenny Lawrence led to Jenna Dedicote reducing the arrears before half-time.
Some excellent work from Nat Lawrence spurred the visitors on but their cause was not helped when the strike pair picked up injuries.
Kidderminster added two further goals but VC replied through Nat Lawrence who ran from halfway before steering a shot home.
