A REDDITCH police officer is scaling new heights to raise money for a leukaemia charity.
Pc Tom Symonds is joining West Midlands police officers to complete the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scaffell Pike in less than 24 hours.
The team decided to complete the challenge, which takes place on September 24 and 25, after West Midland colleague Sgt Robbie Bruce fell ill with leukaemia.
Mr Symonds said Redditch Vauxhall dealer Cresser, on Washford Drive, had already offered £100 and Trust Volkswagen had also pledged to sponsor the team.
Anyone wishing to sponsor Pc Symonds can call him on 07989 430316.
