I SHOULD like to thank all the staff at The Advertiser for the articles and pictures about my late husband Walter Stranz's contribution to the life of Redditch.
I was very heartened to realise that all he had done had not been forgotten.
Can I also say a big thank you to all the hundreds - and yes, it really was hundreds - of people who have written to me with condolences, but also with little anecdotes about Walter.
My thanks go too to Thomas Brothers for organising the funeral so well.
I should also say thank you for all the money donated in Walter's memory.
It will be divided according to his wishes between the local Parkinson's Disease Society and UNICEF.
At present, it stands at almost £1,200, which is truly amazing.
As for me, I now have to try to get used to walking around Redditch without a wheelchair to lean on.
And, above all, I must remember not to park in a disabled space or I shall set off another set of letters to the local press about those thoughtless people who...
