BUSINESSES in Worcester that allow their staff to watch England's historic bid to win back the Ashes could be caught out if they don't have a valid TV licence.
Many companies in Worcester have a television in workplace but research by TV Licensing has shown that many don't know if they are properly licensed or even who would be responsible for buying their licence.
Businesses are being warned that they can expect a visit from an officer if they are not licensed.
Mark Whitehouse, Midlands regional spokesman for TV Licensing, said: "TV Licensing's database of more than 28 million home and business addresses shows which businesses and homes are licensed and which ones aren't.
"We caught more than 400 evaders in Worcester in the first six months of this year alone. With our enquiry officers out on the streets once again during every ball of the final test, businesses should think again and buy a licence now if they need one."
"If you are not sure if your business needs a licence the advice is simple - call us on 0870 243 0654 to find out, or go online to www.tvlicensing.co.uk where you can also set up a Direct Debit."
