A WORCESTER team based largely round the club's under 21 side ran in 11 tries as they overwhelmed Oxford University II 73-19 at Sixways las night.
Worcester included three of the successful Academy side based at the Sixth Form College plus several first team regulars such as Jim Jenner and Ali McLaughlin.
It was McLaughlin who opened Worcester's account after just three minutes and further tries quickly followed from hooker Chris Hall and full-back Simon Morgan.
Wing Tom Beechey went over twice in quick succession and there were further first-half scores from prop Andy Robinson, Morgan and wing Mark Eastwood.
Stand-off Jon Higgins converted all eight of the first-half tries and he was also on target again after he had scored the ninth try early in the second-half.
Scrum-half Jimmy Price and flanker Kris Bassett also went over for tries as Worcester ran out easy winners.
