WORCESTER City are hoping to put their Saturday bogey to rest this weekend.
City's home clash with Weymouth in the Dr Martens League Premier Division is only their second home game on a Saturday in the last nine weeks.
And they haven't won on a Saturday since their FA Umbro Trophy triumph at Stalybridge Celtic on February 5.
Manager John Barton wants to put that right as quickly as possible to help secure their Premier Division status next season.
Only the Bath game on February 12 has disrupted a flow of Saturday awaydays which has stretched back to January.
Two successive away draws in the FA Umbro Trophy -- both of which replaced scheduled home league games -- have all added up to mean an expensive few weeks for City's travelling fans.
The last four Saturdays have been spent on the road, and only three successive Monday night matches at St George's Lane have kept the coffers flowing.
Even after the Weymouth game, they are away at King's Lynn and Rothwell on the next two Saturdays -- with a home Monday night game against leaders Boston in between -- before the fixture list returns to normal.
Barton said: "Our recent Saturday results haven't been the best but we have balanced that with decent midweek results. The Bath result last Saturday was our best result for a while.
"We don't seem to have been at home on a Saturday for a while, so it will be nice to get back in front of our own supporters."
Barton wants them to continue backing the team as they have done since his arrival. "They have been magnificent so far but we still need their help.
"They have had some disappointments but they have stuck with it in their encouragement, and their understanding of the situation has been first-class.
"If they can see us through until the end of the season, it will be a tremendous effort on both parts."
City face Solihull Borough at Redditch in the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup semi-final next Wednesday.
