ROB Elmes and Paul Fewings ended the season as Hereford United's joint leading scorers.
The pair, who both netted vital strikes in the Bulls' great FA Cup run, grabbed 15 goals each, well ahead of nearest challengers Leroy May and Gavin Williams who managed seven apiece.
Fewings, who was released last week following an alleged bust-up with Director of Football Graham Turner, emphasised just how valuable he would have been had he stayed fit throughout the season, as he started only 23 games.
Elmes proved more durable and has just agreed a new two-year part-time contract.
Fellow striker Steve Piearce, who missed almost the entire season through injury, still managed five goals in only nine starts and Turner will be hoping he can stay fit throughout the new campaign.
Part-time midfielder John Snape played more games than anyone else, starting 47 of the Bulls' 51 games in all competitions and coming on as substitute twice -- indeed, only once during the season was he not in the Bulls' squad. Turner expects him to be a key player again next season.
Midfielder Mark Taylor, who has also been released, and defenders Tony James and Ian Wright were the only other players to start more than 40 games.
