IN the top of the table Worcester Evening Cricket League Division One clash Pearmen triumphed by six wickets over Malvern Ramblers.

Chris Jones struck the vital blow for Pearman bowling Rob Francis for a duck before L. Jones 5-7 and Geoff White 3-20 ran through the tail.

Francis struck back to have Pearmen 21-3 but it was Chris Jones' day and he batted through the innings to make it 41 not out and take Pearmen to victory.

Andy Howorth gave Kem-psey a flying start with 55 which included three successive sixes.

D. Powell (39no) and Steve Emson 35no gave Kempsey a formidable 153-1. Only Pett and Burrows batted well for Wayfarers who lost by 52 runs. Alex Harrison bowled sharply in his 3-25.

Ben Schiffmann (57no) was totally dominant in City Police's win over Hanley Castle who performed poorly and only managed 62 in reply to 95-5.

Only Andy Fletcher (48) and S. Kings (22) made any runs for Enders who slump-ed to 96-7.

J. Young had a good all-round match taking 5-15 and scoring 47 for Barnards Green who eased home.
