WORCESTERSHIRE stars of past and present have been recognised by the MCC.

To celebrate 100 Tests at Lord's, a list of the top ten players has been compiled -- and it includes two County stars.

Aussie pace ace Glenn McGrath and former New Road favourite Ian Botham were selected from the entries on the MCC honours board in home and away dressing rooms which reflect batting performances over 100 and bowling figures of five or more in an innings, or 10 or more in a match since the first Test was played there in 1884.

The MCC's top ten are: Ian Botham, Bob Massie, Sir Donald Bradman, Glenn McGrath, Graham Gooch, Sir Garfield Sobers, Gordon Greenidge, Derek Underwood, Allan Lamb and Dilip Vengsarkar.

Eight of them, but not McGrath who will be on County duty, will be at Lord's Test between England and the West Indies on Friday for a presentation.

McGrath holds the record for the best bowling figures in an innings by an overseas player of 8-38 in his only Lord's Test to date, in 1997.

His figures are second best only to Botham's in 1978 when he took 8-34 against Pakistan.

Botham took five wickets in an innings on eight occasions in Lord's Tests as well as hitting one century at the home of cricket.
