WE NEED to play better than we performed against Moseley on Saturday despite our third win.
The players and coaches have got together and said what we had to say about the game but we must remember Moseley were very committed and played well.
I spoke to some of their team after the game and the club boast some good players and under John White they have come together very well.
We watched a video of their game against Leeds and Moseley made it difficult for both of us to play our game. But we're not going to play well every week and our players have done really well to win our first three games. In the club's wildest dreams they wouldn't have believed they would be playing the likes of Coventry, Wakefield and Moseley and yet know we've played and beaten them.
Unfortunately we've now lost Rob Myler to injury after an outstanding start to the season including a hat-trick at Wakefield. Let's hope Nick Baxter can produce that sort of form.
On Sunday we entertain Leeds who come to Sixways on the back of a 60-6 win against Blackheath after losing their first two games. Leeds have always been my fancy and they played some outstanding rugby against us last season and have put together some impressive results. We won both league games but the games were both nip and tuck with the results always in doubt until the final whistle. They're a big money side who carry a lot of pressure n them but I think the main reason for their first two defeats was the step up in divisions.
I was pleased with the crowd on Saturday and it's up to us to give them something to cheer about. Unfortunately the ladies have found division one rugby very challenging losing heavily in both of their first two games but whatever the results they need to know we're supporting them fully. We must never get too serious or too professional about our rugby it's about enjoyment because it's just a game.
