Three first-half goals killed off Hereford United as they lost 3-0 in a low-key Nationwide Macmil-lan Trophy clash at Yeovil Town.
Graham Turner's men turned in a poor performance as they crashed out in front of only 823 fans.
Yeovil started brightly, and it took an excellent tackle from James Wall to deny Matt Hayfield.
United then had their best chance, but Tony James headed just wide from Gavin Williams' corner.
Yeovil took the lead on 20 minutes through 18-year-old Glen Poole, making his home debut. Paul Tisdale fed Warren Patmore who crossed from the right, and Poole slotted home a left-footed drive from an angle.
Mark Jones then pulled off a good save to thwart Hayfield, before Patmore doubled Yeovil's lead on 31 minutes.
Hereford replaced Ian Rodgerson with Matt Clarke on 18 minutes, and it was the substitute's failure to clear that led to Patmore's goal. David Piper sent in a teasing cross which Patmore headed past Jones.
Five minutes later Pat-more notched his second goal. Hayfield skipped past two challenges and released the tall striker, who tapped past Jones from ten yards.
The second half fizzled out into a non-event, with Yeovil failing to create a single opportunity.
Hereford were reduced to long range efforts, with Paul Parry sending a 25 yard free-kick straight into the arms of former Bulls 'keeper Tony Pennock, and Williams blasted a similar range effort over the bar.
Chris Lane's audacious 35-yarder was well off target and John Snape fired wide from a similar distance.
