SKIPPER Paul Webb was delighted with the way Kidderminster Harriers roared to their biggest win so far this season by crushing high-riding Yeovil Town 4-0 in Saturday's Nationwide Conference clash at Aggborough.
Webb was one of the scorers and said afterwards: "It was a very pleasing performance, especially after our previous two matches when we didn't play up to our standards. And to bounce back like that was magnificent."
He was joined on the score-sheet by Mark Druce, Craig Hinton and Ian Foster who enabled Harriers to gain ample revenge for their 1-0 defeat at Yeovil earlier this season.
It also gave manager Jan Molby's men the chance to wipe out the memory of their last two matches when they lost in the league at lowly Hayes before being knocked out of the Nationwide Macmil-lan Trophy at Altrincham.
Webb said: "They were good goals and obviously the manager was pleased. He said at half time that if we got going there were goals in it for us.
"I thought we upped it ten per cent or even more in the second half and in the end I felt we got what we deserved.
"I don't score many. When I get into the box I wonder what I have got to do, but seriously it's always nice to score. Hopefully, there will be a few more to come."
He added that the win highlighted his belief that Harriers have the capabilities to beat any side in the Conference.
"We have proved that against Yeovil. They came here third in the league and we showed them what we are made of. I thought it was a fair result, but we have got to cut out the stupid losses, like the one at Hayes. You can't afford to lose at places like that."
Kidderminster took the lead in the 26th minute when Druce finished off a cross from Foster.
In the later stages of the first half Yeovil keeper Tony Pennock pulled of a couple of splendid saves to deny Druce and Andy Brownrigg and again excelled in the 61st minutes to stop a fierce shot from Thomas Skovbjerg.
However, he was unable to prevent Harriers from going 2-0 in front in the 64th minute when full-back Hinton scored after the opportunity had been created by Brownrigg.
It was 3-0 in the 71st minute when Druce was pushed by Chris Sparks and leading scorer Foster hammered the ball in from the penalty spot.
The rout was completed in the 78th minute when Dean Bennett and Druce combined to enable Webb to score his first goal of the season.
