Alvechurch 1st XI
Alvechurch played Stourport on Saturday and were set a challenging 230 for 4 by the home side. Church struggled to 150 for 7 to secure the draw with only Shakles, 34, and Payton, 44, making any headway against the bowling.
Alvechurch 2nd XI
Winning the toss, Church put Stourport in on a good batting track. The Stourport openers began well and looked as though they were going to set a large total before good bowling from Genders, Reuben and Cole restricted the visitors to 215 for 3 off their allotted overs. In reply Church openers Cole, 39, and Frodsham, 75, began well but it was the in form Tomlinson with a hard hitting 79 not out that saw Church home with 18 overs to spare.
Sunday 1st XI
Alvechurch fielded first against visitors Moseley Ashfield and a good all round bowling performance restricted them to 150 all out. In reply, church made hard work of knocking off the runs but 56 not out from Gareth Davies Made sure of the victory.
