EXPERIENCED midfielder Mike Marsh is convinced Kidderminster Harriers have the right credentials to clinch Football League promotion.

"I think the side is good enough because we've certainly proved what we can do in the Nationwide Conference this year," said the former Liverpool, West Ham and Coventry City star.

Since making his debut against Northwich Victoria on November 20, Marsh has consistently produced impressive performances, which have gone a long way towards helping Kidderminster climb to the top of the table.

They went into today's home clash with Stevenage two points clear of Rushden & Diamonds who have a game in hand over manager Jan Molby's men.

Title favourites Rushden visit Aggborough on Saturday, April 8, in a clash which 30-year-old Marsh believes will not necessarily determine who are eventually crowned champions.

He said: "It's not only Rushden we have got to beat. We've another 13 matches left and we've just got to win as many as we can.

"We might win 12 and get beaten by Rushden and, of course, they might not win all theirs. You just don't know what's going to happen in football.

"It's going to be between the two of us I would say, but it's going to be tight particularly if someone comes in with a late run. But we are in there with as good a shout as anyone."

Marsh has been impressed by the standard in the Conference this season.

He said: "There's no doubt there are good footballers in the Conference. There's a lot of players as good as those in the Third Division, it's just that you aren't able to train as much part-time."
