KIDDERMINSTER Harriers midfielder Andy Brownrigg faces up to six weeks on the sidelines after a cartilage operation.

The former Hereford United player injured a knee in training and is due to have the operation on Monday.

Manager Jan Molby says it will be a blow to lose him. "Since Andy started playing in midfield he has done ever so well. He is the only player in the squad who has got the qualities he has."

Players such as Phil King and Rene Petersen now have the chance to stake their claim for a place.

Striker Ian Foster is doubtful for Monday's Nationwide Conference game at Hednesford Town -- Harriers have no game tomorrow -- after damaging ligaments in his foot.
