FORMER Aston Villa defender Phil King has become Kidderminster Harriers' latest recruit.
The 31-year-old, who scored the winning penalty for Villa in a UEFA Cup shoot-out against Inter Milan in 1994, has agreed a two-year contract with Harriers boss Jan Molby.
The Bristol-born former England B international made more than 300 league appearances at Swindon and Sheffield Wednesday before joining Villa.
He was released by Swindon at the end of last season and had been training with Chester.
Molby said: "Phil has been a great player and I believe he still has plenty to offer."
The Harriers boss also hopes to secure Crewe midfielder James Collins on a three-month loan tomorrow.
"He will be a useful addition to the squad. He has got a little bit of first-team experience at Crewe and he should do well."
