FORMER Stockport County midfielder Simon Travis is having trials with Kidderminster Harriers.
The 22-year-old is one of a number of players new manager Jan Molby is running the rule over as part of his preparations for their forthcoming Nationwide Conference campaign which opens on Saturday, August 14, with a home clash against Dover Athletic.
Preston-born Travis was released by First Division Stockport after formerly being on Torquay United's books.
Travis is likely to feature in Kidderminster's opening pre-season friendly match at Gloucester City on Saturday along with three Danish players who are also on trial.
They are defender Per Hansen and midfield players Thomas Rasmussen and Rene Petersen. Another Dane Jesper Gustavson has de-layed his arrival because of injury.
Regarding the Danish trialists, Molby said there was a "realistic chance" of some of them putting pen to paper.
He said: "They are very good players, but we have got to see them play in a couple of games. There's a physical side to the British game and we've got to see how they stand up to it."
