FOUR Danish trialists are set to arrive at Kidderminster Harriers -- while Dean Glover has parted company with the club.

Manager Jan Molby hopes to sign the Danish quartet if they impress during pre-season training.

Glover, meanwhile, has left Aggborough to return to his former club Port Vale as youth team coach.

The four Danes are 21-year-old defender Per Hansen and midfielders Thomas Rasmussen, 20, Jesper Gustavson, 21, and Rene Petersen, 25.

Hansen and Gustavson play in the Danish Second Division while Rasmussen and Petersen are professionals in Belgium.

Molby said: "They are quite keen to come to England and make their mark as footballers. I am quite hopeful they will be able to meet the demands of the English game."

Glover, aged 35, who failed to win a regular place in Harriers' line-up last season, has returned to Port Vale on a full-time basis to work with their soccer academy, having coached there part-time last year.

"We felt he wasn't really figuring, although I don't think the Kidderminster fans have quite seen the best of him," added Molby.

"It is an opportunity for him and if he does well, that is something he can do for the next 25 years."

Molby said he is likely to name his new assistant in the next couple of weeks, although he is still to reveal his identity.

Harriers' opening friendly is at Gloucester City next Saturday.

Hereford United's Director of Football Graham Turner says he is closing in on two more potential new signings.

He declined to name either of them, although they are believed to be a left-back and a midfielder, both of whom were released by Football League clubs at the end of the season.

United's players returned for pre-season training yesterday, and Turner said: "I have got a player in who has had a little injury problem, and another player who should have come in has cried off ill. But we will have a look at them."

Former Derby County duo Craig Hanson and James Wall have completed their transfers to United following the expiry of their Derby contracts.

United's first friendly is at Evesham United on Monday, July 19.
