MYSTERY surrounds a raid in which burglars broke into a school - to tuck into a midnight snack.

Police said £10 of food was stolen from a fridge in the kitchen at Holy Trinity School on Birmingham Road, Kidderminster.

The raid happened between 6pm on Friday and 5am on Monday.

The raiders entered the school through a high window by removing panes of glass.

They ate yoghurts and chocolate bars in the refectory area on the premises before discarding the wrappers.
