TWO cup winning sides are stepping up their efforts to bring in new players for next season's Stourport and District Boys League campaign.
Under 12s cup winners - Burlish Olympic - and under 13s cup kings - Habberley Hawks - are now looking to build on their successful season by bringing in new talent.
Both teams were recently crowned cup winners when they won their respective finals at Kidderminster Harriers' ground Aggborough.
Joint manager at Burlish Olympic, John Cawley, said he was now down to the bare bones of a squad after Premiership giants Aston Villa came in for three of his youngsters.
He said: "Obviously you get scouts down for the league matches and they have been very impressed with some of our players.
"We have 11 players at present on the books so if anybody is interested in coming along they will be very welcome.
"We won the cup and finished fourth in the league campaign so we are looking to improve on that next season."
Anyone interested should call Cawley on 01299 828391.
Meanwhile, Habberley are also bidding for new players after a fine season.
The Hawks not only won the cup but finished runners-up in the Stourport and District Under-13 League.
Potential new players should call 01562 852504 for further details.
