DODGING German bombers, buying rationed goods from spivs and dancing the night away to Glen Miller classics should get you in the mood for a nostalgia overdose next month.
Severn Valley Railway takes you back to wartime Britain during its seventh 1940s weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
The Kidderminster to Bridgnorth railway is billing the weekend as the best ever and gives visitors the chance to re-live history by interacting with the events on offer.
Special effects such as direct hits by bombers on fuel trains, air raid sirens and full battles in the night sky will be featured.
Visitors will also have to keep their eyes open for spivs such as Sid Smart and Tony the Trout who will be trying to 'hawk' the illicit contents of their battered old suitcases to unsuspecting passengers.
Kidderminster stationmaster Malcolm Broadhurst said: "The 1940s weekend really taps into the mood of the decade.
"Everyone seems to wear a smile and really enjoy themselves and there's a genuine spirit of camaraderie which is something fondly remembered by those who lived through the war years."
