A HOMEOWNER was shocked when a lorry delivering 10 tonnes of hardcore for his new driveway toppled over and destroyed a boundary wall.
Mike Carey, of Chester Road South, Kidderminster, said the accident seemed to happen "in slow motion" as he watched.
Tipper driver Bill Hardy said he had never experienced a similar incident in 43 years of driving lorries. He had reversed onto Mr Carey's driveway and was tipping the hardcore out when his lorry toppled over.
Part of a small dividing wall was demolished in the incident which happened shortly after 1.30pm on Monday.
"It was a shock at the time, but I can laugh about it now. It toppled in slow motion - it was like watching a tree falling. The most important thing is that no-one was hurt," Mr Carey said. Mr Hardy's employers, T & S Elements, have pledged to pay for the damage through company insurance.
