SOUTH Wales-based rockabilly band The Rimshots are appearing in Droitwich Spa this Saturday.
The five-piece outfit, who scooped the best British country album award in 1998 for Tribute to Hank Williams, are the guests of the End of the Trail Club.
Together for more than a decade, the band turned their back on the New Romantic sound of the 1980s and were inspired by 1950s-style rockabilly singers, including Mac Curtis.
Their records sell worldwide and they have toured throughout central Europe and Scandanavia.
Droitwich Royal British Legion is the venue for Saturday's show, which starts at 8pm. Entrance is strictly by £4.50 ticket only and more details are available from promoter Wilf Saunders on (01905) 771540.
