Four musicals, were linked by Karen Baldwin, who took the role of theatre guide, setting the scene for each theatre the audience "visited" by giving a brief history.
Carol Marks provided the highlight in Oliver!, with As Long As He Needs Me.
As the Phantom of the Opera, Peter Biggs struggled with the music, but his daughter, Melanie, gave a lovely rendition of Wishing You Were Somehow Here.
Several of the items from My Fair Lady were poorly performed, but this section was saved by Eliot Tandy, who sang On The Street Where You Live with his customary flair.
The programme ended with Les Miserables, where Gemma Palfrey made a sweet Cosette and Peter Biggs joined with Cath Rowlands in a wonderful version of Master In The House.
Katy Monger sang On My Own well, but again it was Eliot who was most impressive, singing Stars.
