June 30, 1900
Pershore: IN Pershore Police Court last Friday, William Clark was charged with refusing to perform his allotted task at the Union, when residing therein as a pauper. Herbert Tompkins, the porter, stated the facts. Defendant pleaded he was physically unfit for the work required to be done, as he was still suffering from an abscess in his side. A certificate, however was handed up from Dr Rusher, who had medically examined him and stated he was an able bodied man. Defendant was sent down for 14 days.

Pershore: AN accident happened on Allesborough Hill, Pershore. Mr Sidney Parkes, of Worcester Street, Pershore, was riding his bicycle when he was in a collision with a car owned by Mr Petherd of Worcester.

Evesham: EVESHAM Town Council's Highways Committee are recommending the Council to establish a car park opposite the Talbot Hotel, Port Street and to apply to the Ministry of Transport and the County Council for exclusion from the present "No waiting" order.

Evesham: A PUBLIC meeting is to decide whether St Lawrence's Church, Evesham, should be made redundant. The decision to call the meeting was taken by the Parochial CC.
