Members of HDA bowls club were rushed off their feet on Sunday with a hectic day's play.

It started at 11am when the squad played an important second round Vernon Turner Cup match at Cripplegate Park, Worcester against Brotherhood BC and then rushed back to the club's Cherry Tree Road green to play against the Worcestershire Presidents Team at 3.30pm

Results were mixed. The Cup match was lost by 8 shots 74-82 but the match against the County Presidents was won by 16 shots 120-104.

Worcs Presidents: B Hay 18 B Clay 13; G Dougan 18 D Baxter 31; J Gibbons 26 D Palfrey 16; G Evans 31 C Pinchin 14; H Morgan 14 T Dunderdale 14.
