Hinckley United (0) 1
REDDITCH UNITED (0) 1
The Reds secured a valuable point against a Hinckley side defending a 16-game unbeaten run.
After weathering an early spell of pressure from the home side, Redditch were the first to strike for goal after Hinckley stopper Wayne Starkey allowed the ball to go through his legs.
Micky Moore seized on the opportunity but his goal-bound shot was deflected onto the woodwork and out for a corner.
Neither keeper was troubled during the rest of the first half as both sides battled for control.
Redditch's Dave Adey was called into action five minutes after the break, saving well from Jason Knight before smothering David Sadler's follow-up shot.
The visitors then stunned the home side by taking the lead from the penalty spot after Moore was brought down in full flight. Unlike against Cinderford, Moore picked himself up and converted the penalty.
The lead lasted 13 minutes as Hinckley fought back. The move began on the halfway line with the ball played to Gary Ricketts, who flicked it over the defence and onto Jamie Lenton, who calmly lifted it over the advancing Adey.
Redditch: Adey, P Moore, Love, Barry, Farmer, Field, Williams, Nicholls, Cross (Hart 72), M Moore, Danks. Subs not used: Randall, Crowther
