A MALVERN trader is calling for action to revive trade in the town centre.
Mike Gatiss, owner of Greenlink, in Graham Road, says his business has suffered a 25 per cent downturn in trade since November.
He believes it coincided with the opening of Waitrose, followed by the Roman Way development, which he says has affected the number of people coming into town.
He decided to make some changes in the shop and alert customers by putting a series of "days to go" posters in the window.
"What we didn't expect was the concern from customers and friends who thought we were about to become another casualty of modern shopping trends in Malvern - closing down to make way for another charity shop or empty unit," he said.
