n ONE WAY WALK: Peter Offord, of Cherwell Ramblers, will lead a 7 mile walk from Chipping Norton to Hook Norton on Saturday. You can catch the 9.05am bus from Banbury in time For a 10am start of the walk from the town hall. Once in Hook Norton you can return by bus to either Banbury or Chipping Norton.

n SATURDAY: North Cotswold Ramblers' Group are taking part in the Festival of Summer Walks and have devised an 8 mile circular walk starting from Church Street car park, Broadway at 10am. Take a picnic or have lunch at a country pub. Sturdy shoes or boots are advisable and, depending on the weather, waterproofs may be necessary.

The Cotswold Voluntary Wardens are organising a guided tour of Chipping Campden. Meet in the Church Rooms, Church Street at 2pm for an audiovisual show before a leisurely guided walk in small groups. £1.50 for adults.

n WOOL TOWN WALK: On Sunday, join Wendy Lines for a family walk around the historic market town of Chipping Norton. The walk starts at 10am from New Street car park (311270) and visits the wool church and 19th century mill. This walk is suitable for the less able and children in buggies, sorry no dogs.

n August 27: Evesham Rambling Club is organising a walk for the fifth section of the Heart of England Way from Berkswell to Kingsbury. This will be a 10 or 16 mile walk, but is mostly flat.
