AN Independent survey to test the danger levels of emissions from mobile phone masts has been carried out by Wychavon District Council.
The move followed health fears sparked by the rising number of masts.
Andrew Christian-Brookes, a Wychavon councillor, has called on the Government to be more open about how public health was affected by microwave emissions.
Engineers from Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd, in Basingstoke, tested signals at the water tower in Droitwich.
"The tests were being carried out to reassure local residents," said a Wychavon District Council spokesman.
"There isn't any cause for concern but we were aware of worries among residents so tests were carried out to allay fears."
