POLICE are appealing for help in catching a man after an attempted robbery in Kidderminster.
The incident in Bromsgrove Street on Tuesday involved a woman and three girls, aged six, 11 and 14, had left the Wyre Forest Glades Leisure Centre.
At the junction with Lion Street the woman heard a male voice behind her and turned to discover a man had hold of the 11-year-old.
He demanded the woman's purse but the girl managed to break free before her assailant walked off towards the ring road.
The man is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build and aged between 18 and 22.
He had a slight tan and was clean shaven with collar-length brown hair, and wore a navy blue teeshirt and dark trousers and shoes.
