WORCESTERSHIRE Health Authority appears to be all-powerful, above the political will of the people in downgrading Kidderminster Hospital and leaving hundreds of people without immediate access to "blue light" A&E.

The propaganda leaflet which has been sent to all homes affected by their actions is not reassuring in the light of what is actually happening.

Daily there are media reports of urgent medical cases being very badly neglected, with no intensive care beds available for heart attack victims, and ambulances "dumping" the sick outside an overcrowded collection of ancient Nissan huts which make up Ronkswood Hospital in Worcester.

They say that the situation is "unsafe" at Kidderminster Hospital because there are no medical staff left.

Why then is Worcester Hospital sending patients back to Kidderminster - patients they cannot cope with at Worcester because they have not the facilities even after spending £10,000 to "tart up" wards which will close in two years' time.

Will people have to die before this madness ceases?

It is not surprising that Kidderminster is short of medical staff since Worcestershire Health Authority gave notice on working contracts of employment. Thus medical employees found other work and left.
