A WITNESS in a crown court assault case was threatened when he met the accused man in a shop, Kidderminster magistrates heard.
Ronald Calder, 39, of Hurcott Road, Kidderminster, was fined £200, with £180 costs, when he admitted intimidation.
Calder had met the witness by chance at a motor spares shop in Broadwaters, said prosecutor Owen Beale.
Calder's solicitor Alan Bull said he now realised he would have been wiser to have said nothing and to have walked away.
