MY heartfelt sympathies go out to the family of David Eaton who died at the roadside after a car pulled out in front of him.
I share the frustration and anger that his family feel at the inadequacy of the law when dealing with such cases.
My father, a pedestrian, died in a collision with a car on his way to church last year.
I subsequently joined a charity called Road Peace, which is a national charity for road traffic victims.
At the moment Road Peace is collecting names for a petition with the aim of persuading Parliament to introduce tougher charges for motorists who cause death through negligence.
Road Peace has declared August to be National Road Victim month.
I would urge everyone to consider the risks to us all from road danger and ask that you sign the national petition displayed at Kidderminster Library.
The charity's helpline number is 020 9064 1021.
