I READ with some interest the letter from Councillor Baillie in the August 3 issue, on the subject of councillors' expenses.
As an alleged independent - ie Health Concern - he seems to feel the need to highlight Labour members.
I am sure he knows that the council ward where I live is represented by some of his Health Concern colleagues. To date, since the last local elections, I have received no leaflet or newsletter from them.
I am not aware of any issue they have progressed on behalf of local residents.
I do, however, see dirtier streets, no progress on KTC1, no increase in council services and no success in defending the hospital.
In view of the massive increases in councillor expenses this appears to be very poor value for money.
