THREE clubs new to the Stratford Alliance all tasted success in preliminary round matches in the Hospital Cup.
Champions of the past two seasons, Fleece, now Bretforton Sports, lost 2-1 at newcomers Alcester Lions, while former Cheltenham Leaguers Campden Town overcame Premier Division outfit Badsey United 3-0.
A newly formed club from Redditch, Spartak Park, saw off the challenge of Welford 4-1 and it proved a bad day for Bidford as both sides were sent crashing out of the pre-season competition.
Halfords overcame the first team by the odd goal of three, while the reserves were trounced 7-1 by Badsey Rangers.
The latter ended Campden's hopes of progress with a 2-0 win on Tuesday, while Spartak park lost 4-1 at Halfords.
Alcester Lions were another of the new sides brought quickly down to earth as the result of a 3-0 defeat at home to Railway Lions.
Opening league matches in all three divisions start on Saturday, September 2.
