IN his letter (Shuttle, August 10), Mr Jury demonstrated the ignorance that the abolishment of Section 28 would prevent.
The "filth" he talks about would help combat the type of attitude that he displayed in his letter.
Education would help not only bridge the gap between heterosexuals and homosexuals, but it would also provide young homosexuals with the information they need.
I say that from experience, as I am 16 years old, and have experienced this type of discrimination first hand.
Also, while Mr Jury may claim that the majority of the electorate agrees with the Lords' decision, that is just his opinion. He has no way to back up this claim.
Mr Jury should find out what he is talking about before spouting off his discriminatory views.
