A RECORD number attended the annual Pershore Flower and Craft Show in the grounds of the Angel Hotel last Saturday.
"Visitors were impressed by the high standard of the exhibits and the many interesting stands" said secretary Gwenda Wright.
Malvern Hills Brass Band entertained during the afternoon and has been asked to play again at next year's event on August 11.

Norman Attwood Cup, A. Young; Angel Hotel Cup, Mrs D.Bickmore; Tolleys Salver, Mrs J.Lewis; Pershore Market Cup, R.Day; Wychavon Rose Bowl, Miss T.Sheward; G.M.S. Trophy, Mrs V.Laight; Embroiderers Picture, Mrs J.Hillard; A la Carte Cup, Mrs D.Staines; Chamber of Trade, R.Day.
Frank and Phillis Kennedy Cup, Mrs P.Murray and Mrs M.Marshall; Lloyds Bank Cup, A.Ore; Richard Williams Cup, Mrs A.Vint; Look-In Antiques Cup, Miss J. George; Florence Lily Bishop Cup, Miss H.White; Town Council Cup for the Overall Winner, A. Young.
Awards were also given to the winners of this year's Pershore in Bloom Competition, which was judged last month.
The judges presented five gold awards along with 10 silvers, nine bronzes and 20 certificates.
First prize in the commercial category went to The House of Beautiful Clothes, and the Brandy Cask was judged the best pub.
The top public building was the Avon Valley Leisure Centre while the award for top private garden went to Mr TBE Dewerson of Station Road.
