Pershore: A PERSHORE Councillor told Wychavon District Council on Tuesday that ratepayers in his area were "puzzled and extremely angry" at being asked to help pay for swimming pools at Droitwich and Evesham. Mr John Smith, said: "Instead of sitting back and waiting for the local council to do the work for them, Pershore ratepayers rolled up their sleeves and went ahead to raise close on £50,000 by their own efforts and they feel they are now being penalised for their enterprise."
